We take your privacy very seriously.  We will only use the personal information which we collect about you if you have provided opt-in consent. We take appropriate security measures in relation to the sensitivity of the information which we hold on you, and we will not hold your information on our systems for any longer than is necessary for us to meet the purpose of holding that information.

The following statement sets out our policies regarding the personal information which we collect through our website.  For the purposes of the General Data Protection Regulation the Data Controller is Quantics Consulting Limited.  The following policy describes our practices in relation to data collection and use, as well as your rights as a data subject.

Any changes we may make to our privacy policy in the future will be posted on this page and, where appropriate, notified to you by e-mail.

Information We Collect

Quantics has always relied on freely given opt-in consent for collection of your personal data.  We collect information about you, provided by you when you register with our website or access our forum.  This may include your name, email address, employer, job title, employer’s address, telephone number, associated contacts and products or services which you have purchased from us, together with some information about your technical and scientific interests. If you contact us, we may keep a record of that correspondence.

Details of your visits to our website may be automatically collected, these include: traffic data, information about the devices and platforms you access us through, location data, cookies, weblogs, the resources that you access.  These records may be associated with the information described in the paragraph above.

We will not collect sensitive personal information about you without your explicit consent.

We will never sell your information to a 3rd party.

Information we use

The information collected by Quantics is held in line with GDRP standards.  We collect information with your consent and for legitimate business purposes.  We use the information collected to provide and personalise our services both on-line and off-line. We do not anticipate that our purposes are likely to cause objection or complaint.

The information we collect will be used: to notify subscribers when new content (such as a blog) is available, to inform customers and interest parties about product updates and releases, and to analyse trends that will help us to understand and improve our marketing and webservices.

Other uses may include dealing with your enquiries, conducting quality assurance, and/or training our staff.  It may also include using your information for the purposes of negotiating product sales and administering warranty services.

We may use the information you submit for development, marketing and promotional purposes. For example, providing you with promotional offers and/or information about products and services by e-mail, telephone or post. If you have downloaded a QuBAS trial, we may contact you to offer support, gain feedback for development or pursue our legitimate business interest in marketing the product.  If, at any time, you would like to opt-out of receiving marketing and promotional material from us, you can simply complete and submit the opt-out form at the bottom of this page.

Security and Retention

The information we collect is retained for as long as we consider it to be potentially useful or required for legal purposes, given we have not received any objections to retention or processing by you, the data subject. Individuals whose data is maintained in our marketing and sales databases will have the option to ‘opt-out’ or unsubscribe from communications of that nature at anytime. This will resulted in an automated process of their being added to a suppression list without modification of the contents of their records.

We retain the personal information you provide on computer servers in a controlled, secure environment, which is protected from unauthorised access.

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Our site may, from time to time, contain links to and from the websites of our partner networks, and affiliates. If you follow a link to any of these websites, please note that these websites have their own privacy policies and that we do not accept any responsibility or liability for these policies. Information we hold may be transferred internationally during the use of our 3rd party processors. Transfers and retention of this data are secured by the encryption services of our third party processors; for particulars of these, please see below.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features and all reasonable efforts to prevent unauthorised access.  In the event we become aware that any of our data has been subject to unauthorised access which may adversely impact you, you will be promptly notified.

Our website is not intended for or targeted at children under 13, and we do not knowingly or intentionally collect information related to children under 13. If you believe that we have collected any information related to a child, please notify us at the address given below that we may delete this information.

Disclosure of your information

The information we collect may be shared with and processed by the named 3rd parties. These 3rd parties provide services to us and may process information for us.  We ensure our service providers are also compliant with relevant regulations.

In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, we may disclose your personal data to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets to the extent necessary for them to understand the nature of our operations and the customers that we collaborate with.  If Quantics Consulting Limited or substantially all of its assets are acquired by a third party personal data held by it about its customers will be one of the transferred assets.

We reserve the right to use or disclose your personal information if required by law, or if we reasonably believe that such actions are necessary to protect our rights, your safety, or the safety of others. Your information will be shared if we are under a duty to disclose your personal data in order to comply with any legal obligation; or in order to enforce or apply our Website Terms and Conditions or Terms and Conditions of Supply and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Quantics Consulting Limited, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.
