The Data Map defines the location of the various types of experimental data within the Data File, and the dose associated with each experimental value.
If the data is from a plate reader, this is in effect the plate map. The term Data Map is used in QuBAS because the system can also be used to analyse data from in vivo studies, and the term plate map is not then relevant.
The Data Map is created, edited and reviewed in the Development Room.
Data maps for all assay types are essentially similar.
QuBAS-IA: Data maps for interpolation analysis are essentially the same as for quantitative analysis for standard curve QC, control and test items that have an individual identifier specified in the metadata. In addition, Data Maps for interpolation analysis have functions to create automatically labelled unknown samples.
